Reflecting on Potomac

My experience during the 2018 youth mentoring summit trip in Potomac, Maryland was fantastic. Being around people from different states was kind of awkward at first until I got to know almost everyone there. The Bolger Center, where we stayed, was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were small but I can’t complain. They had an indoor pool, a meeting center, and an auditorium as well. I enjoyed every meeting because they were fun and they got me out of my comfort zone. The meetings made me look at things different and made me realize some things.
Also, I really had fun with my friends the party they had organized for us. It included old-school music mixed in with new-school music, featuring a live DJ. I danced, laughed, joked around, and mostly made a lot of new friends. What I most enjoyed was the food. They had everything that I like to eat plus more, so whoever was in the kitchen knew what they were doing. I hope we have a chance to return to the same place again next year.
