College Preparations

It is that time of year again for seniors in high school, college application time. Around this month, many students are likely creating and submitting multiple college applications. One thing I have learned about this is that the college application process can be very stressful. Many students wait until the last minute to try and submit the applications which makes it harder on them to keep up with important information. Sometimes students even forget to submit important documents like SAT/ ACT scores with their applications, delaying colleges’ decision on whether to admit them into their school or not.
I just want to give some advice to future college applicants on what to do and what not to do. I can speak from experience when I say that everyone just needs to take their time. Get a head start on your future by researching colleges in your sophomore and junior years. When you decide on a few places you want to go, then you need to start the application process. If you get an early start then you definitely will not be as stressed when it comes to meeting certain deadlines for the different schools. Also, have an idea about what field you want to major in. This way, it will be easier to select a university with a program specific to your interests.
