The North Carolina State Fair started last Thursday, October 11. People from all across the state come to the Raleigh fairgrounds to have fun. There are plenty of rides and different foods there that have people coming back each and every year. Each year, Dunn PAL takes students on this trip and on Thursday, PAL is taking another group to the fair. This yearly rotation lets some of the students who can’t go with their families have a chance to experience some of the attractions there.
I was lucky enough to go with PAL last year and it was amazing. I did not personally want to ride anything but I loved walking around. We stopped at different vendors to see what types of food they were selling. Everything there looked and smelled very good. We went to the different animal exhibits and had a lot of fun just goofing off together. This time I think I will try to get on one of the rides if I do not chicken out first. Hopefully this year will be as good as last year.
