This afternoon, Mrs. McKenzie’s 4th and 5th grade class hand-delivered thank-you letters to local businesses that allowed the PAL to come in and partake in educational tours.
They first stopped at the Daily Record where Mr. Shaun Savarese documented their visit while Mr. Rick Curl posed with the letter and the class. Next, they stopped by city hall and talked to police chief Chuck West and Captain Larry Jenkins before the officers looked through their cards and showed their appreciation. Mr. West also generously passed out police badge stickers to every kid so they could show off their junior officer pride. After, the emergency services office allowed us to pose in front of one of the mobile fire units. Lastly, they met with Sherry of Sherry’s Bakery to say thank you for allowing all of the students to have lunch at the restaurant.
