Dunn PAL Starts Summer Program

Last week, Dunn PAL started their summer program. Children arrive at 10:30 in the morning and stay until 4:30 that afternoon. During the day, the instructors at PAL help the children enhance their reading, social studies, and math skills. Lunch starts being served around 12:00 pm. The first week was mainly introduction week for the staff and students attending.

Today, our youngest students learned the basics of food safety. They were being shown how to properly wash their hands as well as prepare a simple meal. This is part of a six-week program.

This week, field trips will be starting beginning Tuesday. The students will be visiting Dunn City Hall, two local museums, the Daily Record, and the fire station. From this week forward, there will be at least one educational field trip every week for the students.
