Wildcats Varsity Wins Second-Straight Tournament

After taking home first at the USBA State Championship, the boys were back at it again in the Concord Challenge last weekend.

In game 1 against Liberty, junior Chrishaun Henry led the way with a game-high 22 points with 8 rebounds. Junior Khalil Ridges added 11 points and 5 rebounds as Dunn went on to win the game in a rout, 65-46.

Game 2 against Denver Nuggets Elite proved to be a nail-biter. Senior Shiquan Cox led all scorers with 18 points and 5 boards while Henry added 13 points and 8 rebounds to give the Wildcats a close 61-59 victory.

The Wildcats kept the offensive prowess all full-display in game 3 against the VA Warriors. Senior Daniel Brady led the team with 16 points and 7 rebounds while Ridges added 10 points to give Dunn the 62-42 win.

The semi-final round pitted Dunn against EX-CEL. Ridges led the team with 22 points while Cox added his usual 13 points and 5 rebounds to go along with 5 blocks to give the Wildcats an exciting 61-60 win.

The Denver Nuggets Elite were back for the championship game. This time, Cox led the team with 18 points while senior Maurice Williams and Ridges added 12 and 10 points, respectively. The Nuggets were still no match for the Wildcats, 63-51.
