Youth of the Quarter: Spotlight on Chase McAllister By Dunn PAL Youth News Team

Dunn PAL proudly recognizes Chase McAllister as our Student of the Quarter! Chase
is not only a dedicated student but also one of our most reliable student aides, known
for his hard work, positive attitude, and willingness to help others.

Chase has become an essential part of daily life at Dunn PAL, assisting teachers,
supporting classmates, and leading by example. When asked about his goal as a
student and staff member, Chase shared that he wants to “change the way students
view afterschool programs.”

Reflecting on his very first day at Dunn PAL, Chase said, “It was cold, weird, but nice.”
That mix of nerves and excitement is something many students can relate to when
joining a new environment. For Chase, it became the beginning of a life-changing
experience.

On October 23, during Dunn PAL’s Lights On Afterschool event, Chase was one of
three students selected to speak about the importance of afterschool programs. His
speech was heartfelt and deeply personal, as he shared how Dunn PAL supported him
through one of the hardest moments of his life…the loss of his mother.

“The staff members here at Dunn PAL were always there for me,” Chase said. “They
supported me and reminded me that I wasn’t alone.”

His words touched the hearts of students, staff, and parents in attendance, reminding
everyone of the powerful community built within Dunn PAL.

Each afternoon when Chase steps off the van, his first thought is, “How can I help my
fellow students today?” Chase said. Over the years, he’s built lasting friendships with
fellow students Bryson Toller, Jeremiah Myers, and Lavanah Johnson, and he says
his favorite staff member to work with is Coach B, our energetic and fun-loving
principal.

Outside of his leadership and service, Chase is a talented artist with big dreams. He
hopes to one day work as an animator for a major studio. True to his creative spirit,
Chase is currently developing an animated series inspired by Dunn PAL’s Five
Pillars, blending art and community values into something truly special.

Dunn PAL celebrates Chase not just for his accomplishments, but for his compassion,
resilience, and commitment to helping others. Congratulations Chase, you truly embody
the core values we stand for here at Dunn Police Athletic & Activities League.
