Coach David Porter, 37, of Dunn, assembled a program, Wide Receiver University (WRU), to help showcase uncommitted senior football players. Seniors from Triton, Cape Fear, Corinth Holders, and Leesville Road high schools were on hand at Tart Park. The morning of Jan.16 coaches from Southern Virginia University, Fayetteville State University, Methodist University, and UNC Pembroke were present to evaluate the skills of the players. Porter arranged for coaches from the several schools and universities to come and observe the seniors combine their performance and skills.
