10th Grade Wildcats Claim Championship

This weekend, Dunn hosted the NTBA Walter Blue Memorial Basketball Tournament, where the 10th grade Wildcats team claimed their grade’s championship trophy.

First, the Wildcats faced off against the Comets on Saturday morning, where they claimed a 72-41 victory.

Ramsey Jones led the team with 22 points and 5 rebounds, including 3 made triples. Malihk Giles added 12 points while shooting 3 for 3 with 6 free throws. Jamari Amerson had 11. Jaden Geddie finished with 7points and 8 steals. Kashen Cooke added 5 points with 6 rebounds. Xavion Richardson had 4. Kameron Harris and Ladrabious Eason added 3 and 2, respectively.

Next, Dunn faced off against the Anthony Atkinson All-Stars Saturday evening, winning a close one, 61-57.

Amerson led the team with 19 points, adding four 3-balls as well. Jones tallied up 13 points and 7 steals. Giles finished with 11 points and 5 rebounds. Geddie added 7 points to go along with 6 boards. Cooke also added 7. Eason contributed 4 with 10 rebounds.

Finally, the Wildcats defeated North Carolina Coastal Elite 2021 by a score of 63-60 to earn their first championship of the season.

Jones again led the team with 23 points. Amerson followed with 11. Geddie notched a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds. Giles added 8 points and 7 boards. Eason finished with 7 and poured in 15 rebounds. Cooke finished with 4.
