AG FEST Experience

Yesterday, March 21, a group of students and myself went on a field trip to AG FEST. In order to go on this trip, we had to join the Triton Future Farmers of America (FFA) Chapter. AG FEST is always held at the University of Mount Olive.
When we arrived, we were separated into color groups: Blue, Green, and Yellow. Our tour guides were students who are currently enrolled at UMO. The first thing my group did was tour some of the buildings on campus and participate in some of the activities they had such as trivia and keeping a balloon in the air. After we were finished, we moved to the lunch room where they served hot dogs, hamburgers, sausage dogs, chips and dessert.
When we were done eating, we moved to the workout center and went inside the basketball court to have a dance party that lasted for about 30 minutes. After everyone was hot and sweaty we all moved to the arena on campus to see a concert. The person they had performing was famous country artist, Joe Nichols. The concert was really fun and upbeat and it lasted for about 3 hours. At around 8:30 pm the concert ended and everyone had to either leave or go to a meet & greet. Overall this trip was very fun because schools and FFA chapters from all over the state come and participate.
