Wrestling: From Triton to PAL

During the beginning of Triton’s 2018-19 wrestling season, I had my doubts about the team. We basically had a fresh roster of wrestlers. There were only a few of us who were experienced in this sport, so we had to start from scratch. That means we had to condition more than our opponents and, most importantly, work on and improve our technique.
Everyday we practiced hard and were learning new things while getting better and better. I can honestly say that all that hard work that we all put in did pay-off. This year I was given the “Team Captain” position on the wrestling team so I wanted to push my guys to their limits and beyond. Everyday we’re conditioning and training for the next meet or tournament. I keep telling my guys everyday that we don’t give up on or off the mat. We keep fighting, and that is the key to winning! I hope to bring this same energy and motivation to our PAL team, as a part-time coach this year.
