Alfre-do’s and Don’ts (Mostly Do’s)

Do y’all know what dish makes me the happiest? Yup, you guessed it, it’s chicken alfredo. Today’s article is going to be a good one because I’ll be going over how to make it.

Ingredients:

2 tbsp olive oil
2 boneless skinless chicken breast
salt & pepper
1 1/2 cup whole milk
1 1/2 cup chicken broth
2 cloves garlic, minced
8 oz. fettuccini
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 cup Parmesan

Directions:

You’ll need a large skillet over medium high to heat the oil. While that’s warming up, season the chicken with salt and pepper. Cook ’til golden, which usually means 8 minutes on each side. Once done, let the chicken rest for 10 minutes then slice it to your liking.

Now you’re going to add the milk, broth, and garlic into the skillet. Season with salt and pepper and bring it to a simmer, then add fettuccine and stir for 3-5 minutes. Let it cook for about 8 minutes or so, or until done.

Mix the heavy cream and Parmesan together and let it simmer until it thickens. Once it’s thickened, turn the stove off, add the sliced up chicken, and mix it all together.

Hope you guys enjoy making this dish like I did.
