As many of you know, Dunn PAL’s Reach One Mentoring Program and Youth Leadership Council have been working on our annual Community Service Project. So far, we have finished painting the back room of the main office, which the wrestling team uses. It took us about three days to finish the paint job.
A few days ago, we started getting the walls in the hallway ready to be painted. After it was sanded down, we put painter’s tape on the floor along with a plastic floor covering so we would not spill anything on the concrete. We painted the brick wall then the sheetrock wall and waited for them to dry so another coat could be put on them.
While painting the walls, Mr. Ronnie has been working on fixing the door frame that leads from the front office to the cafeteria. A lot of progress has been made since we first started but we still have a lot more to go. I am looking forward to finally finishing this project so that the students and staff that go here can enjoy it a litte more after it has been fixed up.
