On Saturday, December 1st, and Monday, December 3rd, the Dunn PAL will be participating in the Dunn and Erwin Christmas parades, respectively. Youth Leadership Council and some of the staff members will get together and decorate a float. Last year, our theme was the Polar Express. We made a little train to go on the back of the trailer while a truck pulled us through town. We had many lights along the sides and a beautiful Christmas Tree at the end of the float. All of the children who participated had lots of fun as we sang songs and danced around.
A lot of the people who came to see the different floats really enjoyed the decorations and Christmas spirit that was being shown from everyone. As for a sneak peek for our theme this year, it will be based on a very famous snowman that everyone loves. This time of year is always fun at PAL because there are various activities going on for Christmas. Everyone that I know loves to come out and spread the joy around town.
