This weekend, April 14th and 15th, Dunn will be hosting the Larry Khalil McBryde Memorial Tournament. This is the second of two tournaments hosted here as part of the National Travel Basketball Association, or NTBA, season. The Vyas Recreation Center, PAL Fitness Center, and Triton High School will host the sites for games. Over 25 teams will be competing in various age groups to win their brackets. Of these teams, the Dunn PAL basketball program will be sending two squads to participate.
The 9th grade Wildcats team will be placed in a pool with two other teams: Fayetteville Bulldogs and Carolina Thunder. The Wildcats play the Thunder Saturday at 3:30 PM and play the Bulldogs at 8:10 PM the same day. After pool play, the championship will be held at the PAL Fitness Center on Sunday.
The varsity Wildcats team will have three other teams in their bracket: PDS Elite, NC Gaters East, and Robeson Wolfpack. The Wildcats play PDS Elite Saturday morning at 9:40 and play the Wolfpack at 4:40 PM later that day. After pool play, the championship will be held at either the PAL Fitness Center or Triton High School on Sunday.
