Thursday offered a pair of exciting match-ups for the last day of the regular season before playoffs begin next week.
Game 1 paired Team Money up against the 910 Ballers with Money pulling out a 38-34 win.
B.J. Cox led all scorers with 18 points for Team Money. Dra Eason followed him with 13. Drake Stokes added 4 and Kevin Powers had 3.
For the Ballers, Quamane McLeod led the team with 14 points. Ahmad had 10 while Treyvon Stephenson added 7. Malachi Butts contributed 2 and Jr. Bethea had 1.
Game 2 ended with Jamar Autry nailing a deep 3 with seconds left to give the Runnin’ Rebels a 47-46 victory over the Carolina Hoopers.
Autry led the team with 29 points, 23 of which coming in the second half. Rashay Cooke and Donald Plummer each added 6. Tyree Coxum had 4 and Joshua Cameron had 2.
Hykeem Raines led the Hoopers with 13 points while Ramsey Jones had 12. Tra’zarion Whitehead added 9. Diontae Smith had 7. Davonte Jones had 3 and Zydaris Daniels had 2.
Playoff semi-finals will be played Tuesday, March 5th and the championship game will be the following Thursday.
