February 22nd from 11 AM to 3 PM, Dunn PAL will be hosting a plate sale at Gospel Tabernacle to help raise funds for the after-school program. The plate choices are BBQ chicken or BBQ pork with coleslaw, boiled potatoes, and a roll for sides.
Last Thursday, the high school class from the after-school program went around to different businesses in Dunn passing out sign-up sheets to buy plates. We visited Cornerstone nursing home, the State Employee’s Credit Union, and PNC bank among others. After we made sure it was okay to leave the papers at the different businesses, we explained to them where to fill out the information, the day we would pick up the sheets, and the day the plate sale would be held as well as where it is going to be. We will be heading out again next week to spread more sign-up sheets to various Dunn and Erwin businesses.
