The students used contact paper in the shape of the Saturn to create their own version of the planet. Using filler paper in a variety of colors, students placed it on the sticky contact paper to fill in the outline. After lunch, everyone headed outside for a rocket launch demonstration using toy rockets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once the rockets drifted back down to Earth, the PAL crew headed to Stewart Theater on N. Wilson Avenue for a magic show by magician Dean Alan. Several PAL students were selected to assist in various acts where Alan made objects disappear, mysteriously picked matching cards chosen by students, and passed a solid rope through his body. Many people left in wonderment, questioning, “How?” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Raleigh Museum of Life & Sciences was the final stop of the week on Thursday. Students walked through exhibits learning about wildlife and the ecosystem.
