Life and Science Museum Trip

Last Thursday, our PAL students and teachers made a trip to the Life and Science Museum in Durham. Here our kids were able to learn about life and how it is analyzed through science and research. At the first station, they were able to use the power of imagination to create a structure out of just bricks. While there, I witnessed many children put their creativity to the test by building structures tall and wide, some complex, too. We also toured a section centered around space and aeronautical engineering, which included a spinning table that offered a map of the world to zoom in and out of. After we put our creative minds to work, the kids were able to view a small sample of the world of animals and insects. We saw butterflies in their natural habitat, which was very interesting. I think we all enjoyed this educational field trip. Thank you Dunn PAL for such a good summer.
